A Wholesome AFair
Come out and enjoy the best that Somerset County has to offer for free! The Somerset County 4-H Fair is a local tradition started in 1948. This year, experience the many wonderful accomplishments of our own local 4-H members.
The County 4-H Fair prides itself on being a fun, focused and free event in Somerset County. This isn’t your average summer fair with noisy carnival rides. The 4-H Fair is a unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of a more natural Somerset County. There are petting zoos and horse shows, model airplanes and hayrides. Go-karts and rockets will also be a part of the event.
Kids of all ages can explore the Arts Tent, Science Tent, and Prep Tent, each packed with fun exhibits, demonstrations, and a variety of activities for visitors. Non-profits such as those within Somerset County Government (largest 4-H Fair presence in the state!), Raritan Valley Community College, the Rutgers Cooperative Extension and Somerset County Tourism will have displays with information, contests, and free gifts. As always, the Food Tent will be open and staffed by community organizations offering all kinds of meals and snacks.
See how important 4-H is to Somerset County by coming out and supporting all of the hard work they’ve done this year. From livestock to line dancing, you're sure to find something captivating at this beloved annual event!
